Quail Ridge Country Club

Clubhouse Renovation

DESIGN DETAILS

Unique among this club’s many distinctions is its history. Unlike many clubs, this club celebrates those whom have played out on the greens and in its clubhouse. The names that have walked these grounds are a who’s who of golf. It Is not surprising or an exaggeration to say that this club, and its members, play a large role in shaping the face of modern golf.

This Club’s ‘Hall of Fame’ stands as a mark of distinction among other golf clubs. The Hall of Fame recognizes residents and members who are outstanding athletes and citizens. These works of art by artist, Lisa Wood line the walls of the Hall of Fame gallery heading to the locker rooms and golf shop. The Club celebrates three of their past residents with special memorabilia cases located in the Hall of Fame gallery. Known as the “The Big Three”, these gentlemen are instantly recognizable to any devotee of the sport. The fact that Sam Snead, Claude Harmon and Dale Morey once all stalked the links here, is an amazing testament to the place, the people, and the quality of play.

The Main Dining Room, flanked by smaller-scaled dining rooms, contains enough space for luncheons, functions and presentations with views to the golf course. Designed to appear as an extension of a living room, the fireplace screens a large service station which allows this room to be self-sufficient after the cuisine is served. A curated oil painting of the club’s golf course by Manon Sanders sit proud above the fireplace. Off the Foyer/Living Room and opposite The Hall of Fame, a Wine Gallery provides access to all of the dining venues. An illuminated and refrigerated wine display provides visual interest along the Wine Gallery and creates an expectation for the food and beverage experiences to follow.

The activities at the gathering Eat-At Bar have been separated from the Grille Room with a drink rail and portable banquettes. The Grille Room was designed with a variety of seating options including banquette, communal tables, high-top tables and lounge type furnishings providing a different experience for every age group and mood. A built-in cushioned banquette was designed around the perimeter of the uncovered terrace with fire tables providing warmth and ambiance on the terrace adjacent to the putting green. The east wall of the Grille Room was designed to fold open and expand onto an expansive covered patio with panoramic views of the golf course. The variety of indoor and outdoor seating options for members and their guests provides an opportunity to experience a different view and atmosphere each time they visit the club.
