With the rise of young families moving into the community, Eastpointe Country Club was in need of a facility to accommodate this new demographic. The Pointe was the result, encompassing a large fitness facility, casual bistro and bar, and large pool with outdoor dining, with a view of the golf course.

The previous fitness facility was small and outdated. The new 7,880-square-foot space allows for multiple activities to take place. Equipped with new cardio machines, weight machines, and free weights by TechnoGym. P+L played off the yellow in their logo to create an upbeat space for energizing the members. Accented with yellow walls and pops of color in the artwork gives the facility energy. The new space also includes a group movement room for various aerobic activities, a Pilates room, and restrooms with showers and lockers for member use.

The casual bistro and bar are great a space for watching a game, hanging out with friends, or taking part in family dinners. The ceilings are extensive at 24-foot sloping down to 12 feet. Large scale light fixtures were used in the space and hung low to provide a more inviting setting.  To separate the bar area from the dining room, a series of differently shaped panels in assorted colors and ‘green wall inserts’ were used. This created the focal point in the room as well as serving as a divider for the two areas. The bar also opens up to exterior barstool seating in the breezeway and a convenient walk-up window for poolside patrons. Outdoor dining tables were provided for those wanting to take in the view of the pool or enjoy the beautiful Florida weather.

The pool deck is outfitted with various furniture types to accommodate everyone. There are chaise lounges with umbrellas surrounding the pool for sunbathers and families alike to enjoy the extensive pool. Lounge seating is also included throughout the pool deck and around the fire pits for drinks and conversations. The appropriate poolside color scheme of white furniture was accented with blue pillows to coordinate with the building’s new roof with pops of complimenting orange pillows.
