The Peacock + Lewis design team was tasked with the challenge of how to transform a basement level Golf Shop with low ceilings to a welcoming dynamic retail environment which also displays the history of the Club.

New sophisticated finishes which carry from the Gallery into the Golf Shop beyond with full length paneled walls create a clean backdrop to display large, illuminated photos, plaques, and trophies.

The medium toned paneling wraps the elevator portal, a recessed trophy case and entry to the Golf Shop. Now the view off the elevator is one of interest and intrigue – worth stopping and viewing.

Designers de-emphasize the low, dark ceilings by replacing the surface mounted drum fixtures with floating wood LED fixtures matching the millwork beams. Using a similar philosophy to the Gallery by hitting the displayed merchandise with a pop of illumination, the retail items become artwork in the space. The signature hole on the Golf Course is featured as a backdrop to the charge counter.

The charge counter was relocated so the golf staff can greet the patrons upon entering the shop. The walking path through the shop past the counter assures an acknowledgement and greeting. The illuminated shoe display on the end wall conceals the stock in pull out storage trays. The waterfall apparel floor displays are spaced to view from all sides. Waterfall wall displays with colorful apparel are easy to view with a pop of illumination from the new retail fixtures
